What You’ll Do:

Identify potential uses of mathematical modelling to improve the performance of the business
Work closely with key stakeholders to deliver optimisation solutions such as predictive models to maximise the ROI of online marketing activities
Develop mathematical models such as financial prediction models and automation tools in Python and R (e.g. automatic slide-deck generation, machine learning infrastructure) to assist with budget considerations based on an understanding of the underlying structure of the business and the market
Develop classification and regression models (e.g. customer lifetime value prediction, user acquisition cost) to build an understanding of the customer to drive optimal customer interactions.
Build a team focusing on predictive analytics for product launch decision and process improvements
Recruit and interview candidates for data engineer and machine learning engineer positions
Coach data engineers on internal tools (e.g. A/B testing and tracking configuration) for use across product teams and organize company-wide knowledge sharing sessions for analytics and data science
Be responsible for coordinating and streamlining analytics across multiple teams
Present company’s data strategy at global data science and analytics conferences
What Expertise You’ll Add To The Team:

Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
Masters, PhD, or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.)
An all-around data scientist: strong statistics background, experience in algorithm programming, experimentation, data visualization, machine learning, optimization and big data
Experience with at least one scripting language, e.g. R, Octave, and one programming language, e.g. Python, Perl, C/C++, Java
Exposure to SQL, relational databases and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB)
The ability to train elementary machine learning models such as logistic regression and random forests, to select the right tool or the right task and to judge when a model is good enough for a particular purpose
Experience with one more other areas such as: 
(Deep) Neural Networks, Natural language processing Hidden Markov Models, Conditional Random Fields, Game Theory, Mechanism Design, Latent Dirichlet Allocation.
Proven track record of implementing a real-world Recommender or Ranking system
Solid experience with the Hadoop ecosystem
Solid experience in implementing multi-core/distributed software
Experienced in solving real problems using machine learning techniques and with statistical rigor
Excellent communication skills; the ability to convey complex analysis results clearly and with conviction to all stakeholder levels
