Our Data Science team is responsible for turning data into services and products for XING. Around 20 Data scientists, architects and engineers work together to create highly scalable solutions that serve millions of users. We bring state-of-the-art algorithms into production by making use of technologies such as Hadoop (e.g. Hive, Spark), Akka, Kafka, Cassandra, elasticsearch, etc. At the moment, we are forming a new sub-team that aims at enriching XINGâ€™s data graph and developing new data services. For this new sub-team, we are seeking for Data Engineers who helps with implementing data processing pipelines and data services that are used by in a variety of XING products. You will be responsible for owning, drive and improve a technical product within the XING DataScience ecosystem.
Collaborate closely with other Data Engineers & Analysis teams to develop and implement new data-driven ideas and strategies to enable users to get the most value out of their XING network through intelligent signals, recommendations, and search.
Design and deliver cross-functional services that can be applied to the different XING products.
With your team, drive and execute the product strategy, determine product features, create product concepts and validate them through prototyping, user feedback, and A/B testing.
Sync with your stakeholders outside your Business Unit and make sure, your product is in line with the defined company strategy.
Desire to build outstanding products that customers love
Utilize qualitative- and quantitative data to understand user needs and behavior.
Highly analytical, a strong product sense and enthusiasm for data-informed decision making
Professional experience in managing diverse (senior) stakeholders.
A sound understanding of software development and an excellent technical familiarity to communicate with engineers
Extensive professional experience as a Product Manager
Be hands-on in everything you do
Be keen to work with best-practice agile methods - prior experience is advantageous
An excellent command of English and preferably German - note: XING is a multi-cultural environment and English is the official language of communication
