Your Team

The XING Growth team helps prospects find our platform when they need it, onboard users easily and provide quick access to useful functions and features. This cross-functional team consists of around 30 people working in Development, Project Management, Product, User Experience and Quality Assurance. We mainly focus on finding the best way to help our users get the most out of our services in the shortest possible length of time, while also developing and improving products, and we want you to help us!

Your Tasks

Lead an engineering team of up to 6 engineers who work central platform services with a focus on Data Engineering and Data Science

Be a servant leader who manages dependencies and helps clear impediments out of your agile teams' way

Motivate your team members as you support them to reach mastery in their skills and give them clear messages about their purpose and team identity

Manage and control engineering resources to foster teams of high motivation and outcomes

Build great services in collaboration with the product team, peers, and other stakeholders

Job Description

Main requirements

  • First experience in leading teams in agile environments with people management responsibility

  • Several years of hands-on software development experience and understanding the pains of building and shipping code first-hand

  • Developing, testing, releasing and monitoring software has been a focal point of your career and you do not shy away from deep diving into technical issues

  • You are a trusted person and you understand people, you support them and can offer them tailored development paths that bring out their best

  • You understand software architecture and you can provide architectural guidance. Ideally, you have a Computer Science degree and are familiar with Scala or Java

  • You communicate openly and clearly in English, German is a plus but not mandatory
